Continuing our long standing relationship with Christie’s, Bond Davidson are proud to announce that we have now successfully completed our ninth project for the world’s leading art business and auction house; specialising in fine art, antiques, jewellery, wine and real estate.
The Bond Davidson / Christie’s collaboration marks the opening of their new London Exhibition Gallery signifying their 250th Anniversary.
Works consisted of major structural alterations to the existing ground floor office and retail areas to create a new, modern, open-plan gallery space; whilst maintaining the critical business operations with minimal disruption to offices, staff and most importantly the sales calendar.
The works were designed and programmed so that no structural propping was required, therefore office decants and associated disruption was avoided. The final space brings forward a modern gallery comprising flexible load bearing hanging walls and state-of-the-art, fully controllable BMS, mechanical heating, cooling and electrical and bespoke lighting installations.
The new gallery, based at its London headquarters, was launched earlier this June with a celebration of Britain’s artistic achievements marked by the launch of their ‘Defining British Art Exhibition’.
