When and why did you join Bond Davidson?
I have been with Bond Davidson since 2008. I started my career at a large multi-national corporation, where I learnt some key foundations and principles. I felt a move to a company like Bond Davidson would allow me to gain great experience and enhanced responsibility; I haven’t been proven wrong!
What did you do before Bond Davidson?
My previous experience was focused on transport and industrial sectors whilst also including some commercial projects.
Do you have a career highlight?
There are several; on the academic side, it would have to be achieving a first class honours degree from my part-time course and becoming a Chartered surveyor, both whilst working at Bond Davidson. On the professional side, the most rewarding occasions are when challenging projects are worked through as a team to achieve the Client’s aspirations and when helping candidates through the chartership process.
What keeps you motivated?
My motivation is ‘topped up’ every time one of my projects reaches a major milestone and everyone’s hard work is validated. No two projects are the same and all provide differing challenges and rewards. A large percentage of the projects I have worked on at Bond Davidson are residential for private end users, which adds a personal dimension to these projects.
How do you keep the work/life balance?
Socialising with friends and family, doing a variety of activities keeps me busy at weekends and hopefully my mind off work. My fiancée and I have also recently bought our first house, so DIY is filling up our spare time!
