When and why did you join Bond Davidson?
I joined Bond Davidson in 2007, having spent the early part of my career working in a small rural Building Surveying and Architectural practice in Surrey. I ‘cut my teeth’ in all the core areas of Building Surveying including Condition Surveys, Dilapidations, Party Wall Surveying as well as AutoCAD design/drawing work. I was looking to make a move into a larger practice, where I could further my career and after meeting the directors, I felt that Bond Davidson would be perfect – and I was right.
Do you have a career highlight?
Being part of the Professional Team which helped deliver one of the most prestigious residential properties in London. After a year of preparation including landlord licence agreements, planning and listed building consents and nearly three years on site working to an aggressive programme, the finished product is spectacular.
What keeps you motivated?
I love my job and I never cease to be impressed by what people can do when they work together. I consider myself very lucky to be involved in the projects I work on and I get to indulge my interest in old buildings, which is ultimately why I chose a career in surveying.
What keeps you busy on weekends?
I have a young son and daughter who I love spending time with after a busy week at work. I also have a passion for motorcycles – particularly of the Italian variety, so for me there is nothing better than going for a ride on the bike on a sunny Sunday afternoon!
