Career History

How long have your been with Bond Davidson?

I joined in 1996 and have been a co-owner since 2000, I’d worked with large and medium sized practices before and the opportunity to be part of a team where I could be really close to the business and where I could deliver excellence on every project really appealed.

What have been the highlights of growing the business?

At the start our challenge was creating the right platform where we could compete with bigger practices and still provide excellent service. Our foundations have been built on creating strong relationships with clients and ensuring director level focus throughout every project, not just at the start.

As we’ve grown we’ve kept that focus by investing in the right people who share that ethos and by keeping a hands on approach at Director Level.

What keeps you motivated?

So many things! It’s a great feeling seeing the tangible evidence of all the projects we’ve had a hand in creating.

I’ve also had a number of opportunities to provide a spring board for young people to kick start their careers. By mentoring them within the practice I’ve been able to have a positive impact on their lives, it’s good to see people thriving out there because they’ve been given a chance.

Is it all work and no play?

I like to get out on my bike as often as I can, I ride with lots of different groups, friends and family, it allows me to combine my passion for cycling with socialising and networking.  I have completed a number of charity rides including the 1,500km property ride from London to Cannes.

What does the future hold?

We recently hit a significant milestone moving in to bespoke offices, the high tech and modern environment is a visual representation of the companies style and ethos, we have a created a fantastic company and environment to work in, there is now a great opportunity to build on that success and share it with others.
