Career History

When and why did you join Bond Davidson?
I joined Bond Davidson in 2012, having spent the previous 6 years working ‘Client side’ in commercial development. I was looking to get back into private practice with a smaller and progressive company that had the potential for both me and it to grow – Bond Davidson fitted the bill perfectly and I now feel part of something quite unique!

What did you do before Bond Davidson?
My experience has been focused on retail, leisure, mixed use schemes and industrial warehousing, but also covers a wide range of other sectors including residential.

Do you have a career highlight?
Many! – but perhaps the most memorable are those which posed the greatest challenges. One that always comes to mind was when I concurrently project managed two large retail park schemes with very demanding tenants, tight programmes, and the added logistical headache of one being in London, one in Hull and with a new born baby at home!

What keeps you motivated?
Every project is different but each offers new challenges and opportunity to learn and develop – every day’s a school day! I feel very lucky to work in a position where I can see the physical fruits of my labour and the positive difference it make to others – something quite rare in a workplace.

How do you keep the work/life balance?
My 2 young sons make sure of that, so there’s often a quick game of football in the garden after work. But I can often be found in the gym, taming my wild garden or planning my next ski holiday!
