What lead to you join Bond Davidson?
I joined Bond Davidson in 2014 after working for a large global real estate company. I had been aware of Bond Davidson for years and after a few conversations with Matthew and Malcolm, discussing the future ambitions and drive of the company, I was up for the challenge and welcomed the opportunity to be part of their vision.
What about your earlier career?
I started my career back in 2005 and my first employment was working for a small consultancy practice in Mayfair, mainly working in the hotel and leisure sector. Over the last Ten plus years I have managed to gain extensive experience in the hotels/leisure sectors, high end residential and commercial office sectors, I have been lucky enough to gain valuable experience working with some of the major worldwide brands and clients.
What are your career highlights?
Passing my APC under the professional experience route and becoming a Chartered Quantity Surveyor was a big highlight and big career goal. By gaining my Chartership I am now proudly the third generation of my family in doing so, with my father and grandfather both being MRICS and FRICS Quantity Surveyors.
In terms of project highlights, I have work on some very challenging projects over the last 4-5 years, both in terms of commercial and time driven pressures. I always find the most challenging projects the most rewarding.
What keeps you busy at the weekends?
After hanging up my rugby boots, I now spend my weekends with my two young kids, either taking them to swimming lessons or generally keeping them entertained.
In between the kids, I try and go running or get out on my bike around the Surrey Hills.
I also spend a lot of my weekends down in Devon or Cornwall.
